Swap-O-Rama-Rama comes to Brighton 26/04/08
10/04/08
Since it started in 2005, the Swap-O-Rama-Rama movement has grown hugely!
It is a clothing swap and do-it-yourself workshop in which a community explores creative reuse through the recycling of used clothing. The swap begins with a giant collective pile of clothing, the unwanted clothing of all who attend. Each person then take what they want and go over to the sewing station to make modifications or to totally transform the finds.
In conjunction with Transition Brighton, this event will be held at the Cowley Club London Rd on the 26th of April from 11.00 am onwards. Leftover and many more local artists will be there to help you alter and jazz up your new clothes. Come along with your unwanted clothing and take part!
