Brighton Frocks Fashion Weekend Workshops 13-15/06/08
10/04/08
After 4 years of success, the Brighton Frocks is now
hosting Brighton's first fashion weekend. There
will be fashion shows, independent designer
sales, workshops etc.
Leftover will be running four workshops over two days. They are free, but spaces are limited.
Saturday 11.30-14.00 (Max 8 people)
Tote Bag Making Workshop
Make a tote bag (shopper) from recycled textiles while learning the basics on the sewing machine. (If you don’t know already). Write a slogan with fabric paints, cut out iron-on shapes, and embellish with buttons and other trinkets. Once you got your own design bag, there is no excuse to use any plastic ones!!
Saturday 14.30-17.00 (max 6 people)
Altering and Customising Workshop
Suffering from “have nothing to wear”,while your wardrobe is still overflowing with stuff? Too small, too big, holes, rips, or just boring and dated? Whatever the excuse just bring them along to learn how to turn them into something new and exciting. We will show the basics of fitting garments, and how to see deformities and imperfections as a starting point to create something original and fresh! (Some basic sewing machine skills are a plus, but not necessary)
Sunday- As above.
At Shabitat- Saunders Park Lewes rd. Brighton BN2 4AY
