We run workshops to give you the opportunity to update your wardrobe without having to buy anything new.
Bring your ill fitting and garments and we will help you transform them into something fresh!
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN (depending on the workshop)
- Deconstructing, repairing and mending.
- Basic or advanced hand sewing techniques.
- Practice on domestic or industrial sewing machines & overlockers.
- Embellishing, applique, fabric painting and much more.
Visible & Invisible Mending
Extend the life of the garments you love by bringing them to our mending workshop.
Are your favourite pair of jeans falling apart? Has your beloved jumper seen better days?
Our mending workshops are perfect for learning how to repair those holes and cover imperfections.
We will be showing you various techniques like felting, sashiko, boro and other more modern methods too.
Don’t have anything that needs fixing? Not to worry. You can create decorative patches that can be stitched onto any garment later.
Feel free to get in touch if you have a specific garment you would like to work on.
DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START? Not to worry, we have lots of fabrics, trims, lace, ribbon, pompoms, sequins, beading, buttons, and zips for you to play with. All included.
DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO WORK WITH? No problem, just get in touch and tell us what you want to learn/make and we can go from there.
