Super Onesies

By now I would say I am a pretty confident pattern cutter. But designing a one-piece and making it look flattering is quite a challenge. I wanted a pattern that was powerful but not too boxy and 80’s, comfortable but also stylish.  And as I was planning to reuse kids bedspreads with this pattern it was going to have that cotton stiffness to give it shape. Pleats at the front, and of course pockets!

Modelled by the hot Ra.

Vinyl Fascinators

Ready for the Races.

I love a good fascinator. But I see nothing fun in those beige and boring “mother of the bride” numbers. If I was going to make them they had to be made from found trinkets, lost toys and records of course.

The 7″ vinyl makes a perfect base to embellish. First, I put them in the oven on a low heat so they go a bit soft. This makes them easier to shape.

This batch was made with netting, buttons and feathers and the occasional frog, rat or cat!

Available made to order or sometimes in my Etsy Shop

Meet JC

This is JC. Don’t think I know another guy that looks so good in a tu-tu. These are more like big frilly pants though. Great for those occasions where the risks of falling over is higher than normal. Party-safe in other words.
